What WE BELIEVE:
The Holy Scripture:
We believe that the Bible, consisting of 66 books, is the complete and inerrant Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Scripture is the final authority in all matters of doctrine and practice, not dependent on human testimony but on God's truth.
God and the Trinity:
There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence, purpose, and honor, each fully divine and sovereign, embodying all attributes of God.
Creation:
God created everything in six days from nothing, and it was all good. Humans were created in God’s image and granted dominion over the earth.
Providence:
God sovereignly governs every aspect of creation, ensuring that all things work together for His glory and the good of His people.
The Fall and Its Effects:
Adam’s disobedience brought sin into the world, causing spiritual, physical, and eternal death for humanity. All people inherit a sinful nature.
Man’s Inability:
Apart from God’s grace, humanity is spiritually dead, unable to love God or obey His laws, and resistant to the gospel.
The Birth and Life of Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ, both God and man, was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and came to save humanity from sin.
The Death of Christ:
Jesus' death on the cross was the perfect, final sacrifice for sin, securing atonement for those who belong to Him.
The Resurrection of Christ:
Christ’s resurrection affirms His divinity, assures believers of their future resurrection, and secures their justification.
The Ascension of Christ:
Jesus ascended to heaven, where He intercedes as our High Priest, mediates between God and humanity, and rules over all things for His church.
Election and Responsibility:
God elects people to eternal life by His grace alone, yet all people remain responsible to repent and believe the gospel.
Calling and Regeneration:
The Holy Spirit regenerates the elect, drawing them to repentance and faith in Christ.
Justification:
Believers are declared righteous by God through faith alone, based on the finished work of Christ, not on human merit.
Sanctification:
Justified believers are progressively conformed to Christ’s image, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and guided by Scripture.
Perseverance of the Saints:
Those who are truly saved will persevere in faith, sustained by God’s power.
The Church:
The local church is the body of Christ, governed by Christ, with elders overseeing the congregation and deacons serving the needs of the church.
Baptism:
Baptism is a symbolic act of obedience for believers, representing identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
The Lord’s Supper:
Christians partake in the Lord’s Supper to commemorate Christ’s sacrifice, affirm their unity, and celebrate their covenant relationship with God.
Evangelism:
The church’s mission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to obey Christ.
The Return of Christ:
Christ will return to judge the living and the dead, rewarding the righteous with eternal life and condemning the unrighteous to eternal punishment.
The Old Covenant:
The Old Covenant, centered on the Law of Moses, was given to Israel to govern their life and worship, reveal human sinfulness, and point to Christ.
The New Covenant:
The New Covenant, established by Christ, offers eternal blessings through faith and grace. It fulfills and supersedes the Old Covenant.
The Glory of God:
Everything exists to glorify God, and Christians are called to live for His glory, finding ultimate satisfaction in Him.
Marriage:
Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, intended by God to be a lifelong commitment.
Gender and Sexuality:
We believe that sexual intimacy is reserved for a man and woman within marriage. Any form of sexual immorality, including homosexuality, adultery, and transgenderism, is sinful and contrary to God’s design.
