Our Mission

ICS exists to train indigenous pastors to equip their churches for the work of ministry for the building up of the Body of Christ and assist those churches, train missionaries and assist in planting churches in communities throughout Oaxaca, focusing on the regions of Tehuantepec, Tlaxiaco, and Miahuatlan in order to saturate these regions with the Gospel and then spread throughout Oaxaca.

CURRENT:

  • Strategic church planting in indigenous communities

  • Bible and doctrinally sound study materials distribution

  • Pastor Training Conferences

  • Biblical counseling

  • Coordinating strategic outreach & church planting work by local churches among the numerous indigenous people groups and villages to saturate each region with the Gospel

  • Intensive pastoral support trips to disciple, encourage, and equip rural indigenous village churches suffering persecution

  • Organizing Bible studies into local, self-sustaining churches capable of reaching their communities with the Gospel

  • Dental clinic program operating through local churches to provide rural indigenous villages with dental care and education, while also opening doors for the Gospel in otherwise closed communities

FUTURE:

  • Seminary program for pastors & church leaders

  • Christian library program providing Bibles and doctrinally sound study material to maturing Christians and pastors

  • Food/Clothing distribution centers to aid in the wake of natural disasters (i.e. earthquakes, hurricanes and fires) and to help the poor with the goal of sharing the Gospel and demonstrating Christ's love

  • Construction of schools in small communities to allow access to education and provide a meeting spaces for Bible studies

  • Construction of homes for families who lose their homes to natural disasters or to families with inadequate housing who cannot help themselves (i.e widows with young children)

  • Basketball camps, VBS, women's and men's outreach events to build relationships with families in new villages while sharing the Gospel and inviting people to follow-up Bible studies

  • Indigenous language worship music development
